About the event

We're taking this show on the road!

Join us from March 3rd - 9th for a 7-leg walking campaign covering approximately 65 miles along historic Southern roads once trodden by freedom-seekers. This unique event offers participants the chance to explore significant sites, engage in daily presentations and discussions, and connect with the rich history of the region.

Each day’s leg of the walk is planned with an average pace of 3 miles per hour and includes scheduled breaks for food, water, and rest. Depending on the distance for the day, start times may vary—with longer legs beginning early and shorter ones starting in the late afternoon. A detailed daily schedule will be provided upon registration.

Participants are welcome to join for the entire week or select one or more specific days. When signing up, please indicate which leg(s) you plan to attend by choosing the corresponding dates as your "ticket."…
