Join the Harriet Tubman Museum and Educational Center in honoring the legacy of Harriet Tubman with our 4th Annual Christmas Eve Walk with Harriet. This powerful event commemorates Tubman’s third rescue mission, which took place on Christmas Eve in 1854. She helped three of her brothers as well as other freedom seekers escape from bondage during that fateful return.

The walk begins at Choptank Landing (21843 Water Street, Preston). From there, participants will walk a dirt path to for about 2 miles. A bus will bring us back to the landing and we will hold a lotus flower release ceremony, symbolizing hope and honoring all those who suffered under the institution of slavery.
